Blackland Prairie Raptor Center Plans For Fundraising Success

Transitions among the Blackland Prairie Raptor Center’s founder, Executive Director, and board members have caused a need to shore up the Center’s fundraising expertise and capacity for sustainable success with a first focus on grants and corporate sponsorships of educational programs, and a secondary focus on the opportunity to better steward and increase funds from individual donors.  A development committee of board members has been established to help guide and support an improved fundraising strategy and implementation, staffed by the newly named Executive Director.

With that, the Center has teamed with Project Partners to work through our “Infrastructure for Fundraising Success,” an assessment that will help identify opportunities and establish priorities.  We will also conduct funder research, consider educational programming sponsorship levels, and coach the development committee members on the art and science of fundraising.

Change for any nonprofit can be hard, but it does provide the opportunity for board members to increase their engagement in the fundraising continuum.  How can you best involve your key volunteers during times of transition?

Sixty & Better Adapting to Change Through Strategic Planning

The pandemic caused a huge shift in Sixty & Better’s program of work, a program of work that had helped define this organization’s mission for more than fifty years.  With that, Sixty & Better’s leadership is adapting through a strategic planning process made possible by a Toolbox grant from the North Texas Community Foundation (NTCF)

Our work together will redefine the organization’s mission, the programming to achieve that mission, and the ensuing fundraising, communications/community engagement, board leadership, and administrative support necessary for success.

We are pleased to return to Sixty & Better (formerly Senior Citizens Services of Greater Tarrant County) for this fourth assignment, providing the new leadership team both historical data based on prior work before and after their rebranding, and the opportunity to focus on the plan for continued success in serving specific needs of older adults in our community.

We are proud to serve quite often as a partner for good through executive staff and board leadership transitions!

Campaign Readiness Leads to Grant Submissions for Mr. Fred Rouse Memorial

Working collaboratively with the board members of the Tarrant County Coalition for Peace and Justice (TCCPJ) to become ready for their campaign was very rewarding.  Now, we are happy to help TCCPJ submit the grant applications for funding, and we are all excited about the possibilities of this expanded community impact.

Many community causes are led by volunteers who have day jobs and myriad other responsibilities (coalitions are prime examples).  Project Partners works directly for these multi-task leaders to provide the exact expertise and support needed. At last count, we have assisted more than 250 boards, committees, and task forces.  Choose Project Partners and you'll see why we love this part of our job.

We do what’s good for you.

Create + Collaborate Strategizes for Sustainability and Growth

Founded in 2020, Create + Collaborate (C + Co) has seen a 57% growth in students served through their mentoring, leadership training, and life skills programming, and an overall financial growth of 91%.  To support this tremendous growth, the Board of Directors created goals as part of its preliminary strategy work for 2023 and is now teaming with Project Partners to bring that process to a strategic plan in support of ongoing development and sustainability.

When the Founder and Executive Director of C + Co reached out to us as she was pondering her North Texas Community Foundation Toolbox Grant application, we immediately knew that we wanted the chance to work with her.  She is a young, smart, innovative leader, dedicated to making a difference in the lives of youth and their families in Southeast Fort Worth.

We look forward to this good work together in one of our specialty cause areas – education and workforce development

LinkED To Shore Up Strategies For Grants and Monthly Giving

After working collaboratively with several LinkED staff and board members through various education and workforce development initiatives, we are thrilled that LinkED reached out to Project Partners for fundraising consulting, with an eye towards further developing their monthly giving program and grants support.  A Toolbox Grant from the North Texas Community Foundation makes this capacity-building work possible.

LinkED, Linking Ability to Learning, provides educational links for families of individuals with learning differences or learning disabilities such as autism, dyslexia, and ADHD, and connects educators to relevant professional development resources and adult literacy programs.  This mission makes LinkED a key piece of the educational framework of our community, touching lives across every demographic and impacting many other instructional programs - public and private.

It is so fun to see a former educator succeed as a nonprofit executive, (it’s not an easy transition for some) and look to bolster fundraising strategies.  We look forward to this good work together.
