Board Engagement

Campaign Readiness Leads to Grant Submissions for Mr. Fred Rouse Memorial

Working collaboratively with the board members of the Tarrant County Coalition for Peace and Justice (TCCPJ) to become ready for their campaign was very rewarding.  Now, we are happy to help TCCPJ submit the grant applications for funding, and we are all excited about the possibilities of this expanded community impact.

Many community causes are led by volunteers who have day jobs and myriad other responsibilities (coalitions are prime examples).  Project Partners works directly for these multi-task leaders to provide the exact expertise and support needed. At last count, we have assisted more than 250 boards, committees, and task forces.  Choose Project Partners and you'll see why we love this part of our job.

We do what’s good for you.

Mission United Plans For Inaugural Stronger Together Showcase

United Way of Tarrant County’s Mission United is leading the work of a group of civic and nonprofit organizations in Arlington who are planning a tribute to veterans and first responders in May 2024. Dubbed The Stronger Together Showcase (STS), this multi-faceted event will educate and engage the community, while elevating several issues related to military service and freedom.

The Veterans Task Force and Stronger Together Showcase Committee Leaders have teamed with Project Partners for consulting and project management to assure the success of this first-time initiative and the documentation of the leadership, procedures, and work required to produce the results.  This playbook will allow for duplication in future years and in other locations, saving valuable resources and increasing the community impact.

This project reminds us of a larger version of the Veteran’s Stand Down event we helped Workforce Solutions for Tarrant County execute in 2006, and of work we produced with VETCO in 2015.  Producing the playbook reminds us of work for Strategic Pathways to Student Success work in 2015 and 2016 with the Fort Worth Chamber.  And it’s always fun to work with a returning client that knows our work so well, and who introduces us to new opportunities.

There are many benefits to being Tarrant County’s partner for good since 1995.  We are grateful!

Create + Collaborate Strategizes for Sustainability and Growth

Founded in 2020, Create + Collaborate (C + Co) has seen a 57% growth in students served through their mentoring, leadership training, and life skills programming, and an overall financial growth of 91%.  To support this tremendous growth, the Board of Directors created goals as part of its preliminary strategy work for 2023 and is now teaming with Project Partners to bring that process to a strategic plan in support of ongoing development and sustainability.

When the Founder and Executive Director of C + Co reached out to us as she was pondering her North Texas Community Foundation Toolbox Grant application, we immediately knew that we wanted the chance to work with her.  She is a young, smart, innovative leader, dedicated to making a difference in the lives of youth and their families in Southeast Fort Worth.

We look forward to this good work together in one of our specialty cause areas – education and workforce development

Methodist Justice Ministry Gains Mentorship For New Development Director

Methodist Justice Ministry was founded in 2006 to provide legal services and ongoing support, at no charge, to victims of traumatic domestic violence and neglect. The current Development Director is new to her role, but not to the organization or mission. To provide her with the tools she needs, the savvy board of directors committed to her professional development through a coaching relationship with Project Partners.  They understand that her success will equate to the mission’s success.  We will be providing mentorship related to fundraising, donor stewardship, and board engagement that will add capacity now and create a roadmap for the future, building on strengths that already exist within the organization and her personal skill set.

We are excited for the opportunity to work with a nonprofit professional, already familiar with the mission and work of the organization, while also eager to hone her skills as a fundraiser.

Good things come to those who train!

AB Christian Learning Center to Develop a Roadmap For Continued Success

AB Christian Learning Center (ABCLC) is a faith-based, nonprofit organization with a mission to strengthen and improve the academic performance of all youth by taking a holistic approach to addressing their needs. ABCLC has operated in Fort Worth since 2006 with visionary, hands-on leadership from its Founder and Executive Director.

Thanks to a Toolbox Grant from the North Texas Community Foundation, Project Partners will provide consulting and strategic planning facilitation to help the Executive Director and her board.  Together, we will identify long-term strategic goals and short-term objectives for operations and programming, using stakeholder input and needs data. The results of this good work together will be a five-year strategic plan to help assure ongoing success for ABCLC’s important mission.

We have long admired the founding Executive Director’s servant-leadership across our community, including collaborative initiatives such as Strategic Pathways to Student Success, which we helped direct for the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce.  We are so glad to be teaming with her directly for the benefit of AB Christian Learning Center and the families they serve!
