TCHC and Project Partners – Together Again!

Tarrant County Homeless Coalition (TCHC) selected Project Partners as their consultant after receiving a ToolBox Grant from the North Texas Community Foundation in 2022. That work focused on board development and creating a culture that will attract strong talent and equip board members to be as effective as possible during their tenure. At the end of our time together, we presented a report to their Board of Directors and staff leadership that included a number of recommendations related to recruitment, orientation, and engagement.

We were thrilled when TCHC reached out to us to continue this work, moving from the planning phase to the action phase. This spring and summer, we will be working with TCHC to operationalize many of the recommendations developed last year, including developing a board orientation process and working with the current board to develop a two-year strategic plan that focuses specifically on fundraising and board engagement. This plan will align with the strategic plan that the organization already has in place related to programs and operations.

It's always a wonderful opportunity – both for us and for our clients – when we get to work together on multiple projects, particularly ones that build on one another. We love being your partner for good, every step of the way!

NTCF Announces 2023 ToolBox Grants Program

This year’s focus of the North Texas Community Foundation’s ToolBox Grants program is building nonprofit capacity to combat poverty through fundraising consulting and strategic planning consulting.

The 2023 cycle is now open.

To be eligible for support, interested nonprofits will need to attend a mandatory orientation session next week.

Please visit the RFP today to learn more and to register for an orientation.

Did you know that Project Partners’ services to extend your capacity for success can be funded by a ToolBox Grant? We do what’s good for you.

Community Healthcare of Texas to Equip Board Members

The incredible Community Healthcare of Texas (CHOT) development team – raising more than $842,000 annually over a geographic service area of 25 counties and 9 locations - is very small (a team of two) and must depend on board volunteer resources to continue retaining and attracting funding to support the mission of CHOT.  Individual giving is at the heart of CHOT fund development, as it should be.

The goal of our work together this year, funded by a Toolbox grant from the North Texas Community Foundation (NTCF), is to better equip the board to be fundraising-ready for retention and acquisition of donors through a relationship-building portfolio model, which could then be duplicated with fund development ambassadors across CHOT’s service area.  This will be our second assignment with CHOT, and we are very excited to work again with these pros and their board members.

We are so fortunate to serve the vast majority of our clients for multiple years and/or multiple projects

Happy New Year!

As we begin this 29th year of business, we thank you for your business, your referrals, your collaboration, your support, and your friendship.   We are so very grateful to keep our dream jobs of advancing community causes with you.  Happy New Year!

DNAWORKS to Focus on Year-End Digital Campaign

We were first introduced to the good work of DNAWORKS through our client, the Tarrant County Coalition for Peace and Justice (TCCPJ).  DNAWORKS, based in Fort Worth, Texas is dedicated to dialogue and healing through the arts - focusing on identity, heritage, culture, and liberation - and creates impact across the globe.

DNAWORKS reached out to us regarding some possible long-term development consulting, but upon learning of the opportunity to focus first on a year-end digital fundraising campaign, we all agreed to start there.  The online campaign goals are to retain past donors and attract new ones, while providing recommendations on segmenting the current donor base for ongoing touchpoints during the year, as the basic principal that fundraising is relational still applies.

What will be your year-end fundraising focus?
